The jewelry of the red carpet. Part II.
In case you wish to read the first part of our story – it is here.
Ann Hathaway, wearing an amazing pearl-coloured dress, preferred quite unshowy jewelry – a simple bracelet and a couple of diamond rings. Anyway, the main attraction of her dress was an elegant brooch, that had the form of a lock and was attached to the back of the dress, as if locking it. The actress did not tell the reporters, whether the dress was a part of the dress or was added afterwards. In any case, the idea seems to be quite poignant.
Traditionally the most popular jewelry brand among the Oscar nominates is Chopard. This year was not an exception, and the creations of this company decorated many of the actresses, including Penelope Cruise and Kate Winslet. Penelope Cruise, wearing a vintage white dress, had chosen an ornamental diamond bracelet (something of this kind was decorating the wrists of Jessica Bill). A classical diamond bracelet and a pair of earrings were also the choice of Kate Winslet.
Some men also could not dispense without jewelry. For example, Mickey Rourke had a pendant with the picture of his favourite dog on. Despite its symbolic meaning, the amulet did not help Mickey to win the Oscar award. Speaking about Beyonce, she was one of several celebrities, that simply lacked jewelry during this ceremony. Having worn two yellow-diamond rings by Lorraine Schwartz, Beyonce decided to economize on the necklace and earrings – though to our taste these items would have make the outlook of the star more apt to the ceremony.
